Spellbound IT Privacy Policy

How secure is the information held on Spellbound IT's systems?
Spellbound IT operates a strict security policy. All of our members of staff sign a confidentiality agreement to ensure that private information remains secure. Any checking of client information is purely done at their request in the interest of technical services. If you wish to see what information Spellbound IT holds about you, or to update or delete any information about you, please contact us.

In addition:

  • All customer data is kept confidential
  • We do not publish any customer information without explicit permission
  • We do not make customer data accessible to any other organisation or company
  • We will remove all of your data from our systems at your request
  • We use email, fax, phone and mail to process orders, deliveries and services. This means that your data and your clients' data are being transported using those media
  • With regard to websites stored on our Virtual Servers, all financial transactions use Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encoding to protect your clients' data

How secure is payment on the web?
You are right to be concerned about the security of your personal information on the web. But it is now far safer to purchase online than it is to read out your credit card details over the phone. It is recommended that you do not purchase any goods or services from websites that do not have encrypting security features such as the Secure Socket Layer (SSL) that Spellbound IT uses on this site. SSL scrambles all the information that you send to us so that it cannot be used if intercepted during transmission.

How do I know when a page is secure?
When you view a page on a secure server, a padlock or a key will be displayed in your browser, at the bottom of the page. If the key is broken, or the lock open then so is the security. In a secure area, the web address should also start https:// rather than http://
If the site does not have a secure server, then don't risk it. Always print out any emails confirming your order and when the goods were sent or the service initiated. As long as you remember this, you may buy with confidence.

When does Spellbound IT contact customers?
All new customers are sent a welcome email with details of the service(s) requested. On sign up, customers can opt to receive occasional emails from Spellbound IT which will typically include information on new products or developments/features on existing products. Customers who tick this box can unsubscribe to these emails at any time.
